Select a filter and optionally adjust camera settings.
Press the shutter and your media will be saved in the gallery.
First launch
A short intro shows how the app works. Use the big button at the bottom to move on.
See the look while you shoot. A sample photo changes through a few looks. Swipe it to try them yourself.
Allow camera to start. Allow Camera, Microphone (for sound in clips) and Photos (your shots are saved to your library). All three are needed to continue. If you said no to one, tap OPEN SETTINGS and allow it there. Location is optional: switch it on only if you want the place of each photo written into the photo file.
Gestures. Swipe the picture for the next look, tap the eye to hide the controls.
Video filters live. Tap LET'S SHOOT and the camera starts.
You can watch the intro again any time from Settings → Onboarding. It also comes back on launch if camera, microphone or photo library access has been turned off.
See the look while you shoot
Professional filters, live result in the viewfinder for photo and video. No postprocessing.
The first time you open the app, right after the intro, you see the WHAT DO YOU SHOOT? screen. Each tile is a set of looks made for one kind of picture: ANY LOOK when you are not sure, PRODUCT, BLACK & WHITE, PORTRAIT, KIDS, INTERIOR, OUTDOORS, CLIPART, HAVING FUN and TECHNICAL.
Tap a tile. The window closes, the look strip on the camera now shows only the looks for that choice, and the first one is on.
Not now? Tap Skip — just show me the camera, ← CAMERA, or swipe right. Nothing changes. The first time, that means ANY LOOK.
Change it later by tapping the look name at the bottom-left of the camera.
The camera screen
At the top
Eye (top-left corner) — tap to hide the controls and see more of the picture, tap again to bring them back. The shutter bar, the PHOTO · VIDEO switch and the eye stay.
Flash — tap to switch between Off, Auto and On for photos.
Mirror (next to the brackets) — shows only while the front camera is on. Tap to switch mirroring on or off, the same as Settings → Mirror selfie.
Brackets (top-right corner) — tap to switch Fill screen on or off, the same as Settings → Fill screen.
Above the shutter
Look name (bottom-left), for example STREET ZOOM. Tap it to open What do you shoot?
Look description (bottom-right) — a short line about the look. It shows when you change the look and fades after a few seconds.
Look strip — small previews of each look on your camera picture. Scroll it sideways, tap one to use it. The look in use has a red frame.
PHOTO · VIDEO — tap to switch between photos and video.
Swipe right to close. Most screens that open from the camera, like What do you shoot?, Settings and My Shots, close when you swipe to the right.
Changing looks
Swipe left across the picture for the next look, swipe right for the previous one. At the end it starts over.
Tap a look in the strip to jump straight to it.
Tap the look that is already selected to see its name and description again.
Want different looks in the strip? Tap the look name at the bottom-left and pick another answer to What do you shoot?
Taking a photo
Make sure PHOTO is on and tap the shutter.
Your first few photos open a before/after screen: drag the round handle to compare PHONE CAMERA with your look. Tap Share to send it, or Next shot to keep shooting.
After that, a small Saved to Photos banner appears at the top instead. To get the before/after screen after every photo, turn on Settings → Always Compare.
Every photo goes to My Shots, and to your phone's photo gallery when the app is allowed to save photos there.
Recording a clip
Tap PHOTO · VIDEO so VIDEO lights up red.
Tap the red shutter to start. The look is recorded into the clip as you see it, with sound.
While recording, most controls hide and the look stays fixed. At the top you see REC 00:04 / 00:10: time recorded, and when the clip will stop.
Tap the shutter again to stop, or let the clip stop by itself at the length set in Settings → Limit video (3, 5, 8 or 10 seconds).
A Saved to Photos banner confirms it. The clip goes to your gallery and to My Shots, marked with a play icon.
Timer: get in the shot
Tap the stopwatch. A big countdown appears. While it runs, the rest of the screen does not respond; tap anywhere to cancel it.
The timer does not start while a clip is recording. Stop the clip first.
At the end of the countdown the camera shoots by itself: one photo in PHOTO, or a clip in VIDEO.
Set how long it counts down in Settings → Timer delay: tap the row to switch between 3, 5 and 10 seconds.
Film yourself without touching the phone:
In Settings, set Timer delay long enough to get into place, and Limit video to how long the clip should be.
Put the phone where it can see you and switch to VIDEO.
Tap the stopwatch and step into the picture. Recording starts when the countdown ends and stops by itself at your limit.
My Shots
Everything you shoot with Filters Camera is kept here. Open it with the latest shot button on the camera, or Settings → My Shots.
ALL · PHOTO · VIDEO at the top shows everything, only photos, or only clips.
The row of look names below lets you see only the shots taken with one look.
Tap a shot to open it full screen. Swipe left or right to move between shots, pinch to zoom a photo, and tap the play button to watch a clip.
Tap the picture to show the look name and the Delete, Share and Close buttons. Tap the look name to go back to the camera with that look.
Press and hold a shot to select it, then tap more shots or SELECT ALL. Use Share or Delete at the bottom, or CANCEL to stop selecting.
Go back with the ← CAMERA link (← BACK if you came from Settings) or by swiping right.
Delete cannot be undone. It removes the shots from My Shots and also from your phone's photo gallery.
Settings
Tap the sliders at the right end of the bottom bar. Go back with ← CAMERA or by swiping right.
Shooting
My Shots — your photos and clips.
Capture format — photo resolution, remembered separately for the front and back camera.
Timer delay — tap to switch between 3, 5 and 10 seconds.
Limit video — every clip stops by itself after 3, 5, 8 or 10 seconds.
Audio preset — how clip sound is processed: Auto, Video (like the phone's own camera app), Voice (less noise and echo, for talking) or Raw. Applies from the next clip.
Mirror selfie — for the front camera. On, the picture and your saved photo look like a mirror. Off, they show you the way others see you. Also on the camera: the mirror button, top-right, while the front camera is on.
Fill screen — on, the picture fills the whole screen with the edges cropped. Off, you see the whole camera frame. Your saved photo is the same either way. Also on the camera: the brackets button, top-right.
Save location (GPS) — writes where a photo was taken into the photo file.
Always Compare — show the before/after screen after every photo, not only your first few. Clips always get the short banner.

Good to know
Swipe right to close. Most screens that open from the camera close with a swipe to the right: What do you shoot?, Settings and My Shots. On Android the Back button works too. In the full-screen shot viewer a swipe moves between shots instead; tap the picture and use Close to leave it.
Hidden the controls with the eye? They come back by themselves the next time you open the app.
Tapping the picture does not focus; it only refreshes the previews in the look strip.
If the sliders button shows No permissions and then opens your phone's Settings, camera access is off. Allow Camera for Filters Camera there.
If you see Photos access is off, so this shot stays in My Shots only, allow Photos for Filters Camera in your phone's Settings to save new shots to your gallery too.
